WeDo is the largest home services marketplace in Bangladesh. If you have a skill — electrical, plumbing, cleaning, carpentry, painting, or any other home service — you can turn it into a reliable income stream. Here is how to get started.
Who can become a performer?
- Anyone 18 or older with a valid NID
- Must have verifiable skills in at least one service category
- Must be willing to undergo identity verification and background screening
- Must own or have access to basic tools for your trade
- Must have a smartphone with internet access (for the WeDo app)
Registration process:
1. Download the WeDo app and create a Khansland account (if you do not have one already).
2. Apply as a performer — Select your primary service category and up to 3 secondary categories. Upload:
- Clear NID photo (front and back)
- Recent passport-size photo
- Photos of your tools and equipment
- Any professional certifications (electrician license, plumbing certification, etc.)
3. Identity verification — Our team verifies your NID within 2 business days. For high-risk categories (electrical, gas), we conduct an additional phone interview.
4. Profile setup — Write a clear description of your skills and experience. Upload photos of previous work if available. Set your service area (which parts of your city you cover).
5. Pricing — Set your rates for each service you offer. You can see what other performers in your area charge to calibrate your pricing. New performers typically start 10-15% below average to build initial reviews.
6. Activation — Once verified, your profile goes live and you start receiving job requests in your service area.
How earnings work:
- Customers pay through the app (bKash, card, or cash on completion)
- WeDo holds payment in escrow until the job is marked complete
- WeDo takes a 12% commission on each completed job
- Earnings are settled daily to your bKash or weekly to your bank account
- You see a full earnings dashboard with job history, ratings, and income trends
Typical earnings (Dhaka, full-time):
- Electrician: 25,000-50,000 BDT/month
- Plumber: 20,000-45,000 BDT/month
- Cleaner: 15,000-35,000 BDT/month
- AC technician: 30,000-60,000 BDT/month (seasonal — peaks in summer)
- Carpenter: 25,000-55,000 BDT/month
Tips for new performers:
- Respond to job requests within 30 minutes — fast responders win more jobs
- Always arrive on time. Punctuality is the most reviewed trait.
- Take before and after photos of every job — this builds your portfolio
- Ask satisfied customers to leave a review. Reviews are your most valuable asset.
- Keep your availability calendar updated. Stale calendars lose you jobs.
- Invest in quality tools. Good tools mean faster, cleaner work.
The performer community:
WeDo runs a Performer Forum on Meet where performers share tips, discuss pricing, and help each other with difficult jobs. It is one of the most active sections on Meet. Join it — the experienced performers are generous with advice.
