Finding the right performer for your task is crucial. On WeDo, every performer goes through a verification process before they can accept jobs. But verification is just the starting point — here is how to find someone who is truly right for your specific needs.
Step 1: Define your task clearly
Before browsing performers, write down exactly what you need done. Vague requests like "fix my house" attract the wrong people. Specific requests like "install 3 ceiling fans in a 2-bedroom apartment in Dhanmondi" attract performers who know they can do it.
Step 2: Check these five trust signals
1. Verified badge — Look for the blue checkmark. This means the performer has completed NID verification, provided references, and passed our background screening. Never hire an unverified performer for tasks that involve entering your home.
2. Rating with context — A 4.5 rating from 80 completed tasks is far more meaningful than a 5.0 from 3 tasks. Look at the total number of completed tasks alongside the rating. Also read the written reviews — they tell you things the star rating cannot.
3. Response time — Performers who respond within 1-2 hours are generally more reliable and professional. Slow responders often mean slow workers. You can see average response time on every performer profile.
4. Task history relevance — Has this performer done tasks similar to yours? A great electrician might be terrible at plumbing. Check their task history and specialization tags.
5. Portfolio photos — The best performers upload photos of completed work. Before and after photos are especially valuable for renovation, painting, and installation tasks.
