Safety Tips for Customers: Letting a Performer Into Your Home
Letting a stranger into your home requires trust. WeDo builds that trust through verification, escrow, and reviews — but you should also take common-sense precautions. Here are practical safety tips.

Before the visit:
- Only book verified performers (blue checkmark). This is non-negotiable.
- Read at least 5 recent reviews. Pay attention to mentions of professionalism and behavior, not just work quality.
- Share the booking details with a family member or friend — performer name, expected arrival time, and the task being done.
- Confirm the performer's identity when they arrive. WeDo shows their profile photo and NID-verified name in the app.

During the visit:
- You do not need to supervise every moment, but check in periodically.
- Keep valuables (jewelry, cash, electronics) in a locked room if work is being done in common areas.
- For electrical or plumbing work, know where your main power switch and water valve are — in case you need to shut them off.
- If you are home alone and uncomfortable, ask a neighbor to be present or reschedule.
- Use the in-app chat for all communication. This creates a documented record.

For women living alone:
- WeDo has a Mohila-preferred option — request female performers where available.
- Schedule visits during daylight hours when possible.
- Inform a trusted contact before and after the visit.
- The SOS button in the app is always available during active jobs.

After the visit:
- Inspect the work before marking the job complete in the app.
- Take photos of the completed work for your records.
- If anything feels wrong — missing items, incomplete work, unprofessional behavior — report immediately through the app.
- Leave an honest review. Your review protects future customers.

What WeDo does behind the scenes:
- NID verification for every performer
- Background checks for high-risk service categories
- Real-time GPS tracking during active jobs
- Escrow payment (performer does not get paid until you approve)
- 24/7 support team for safety concerns
- Insurance coverage for property damage

Red flags to watch for:
- Performer asks to communicate outside the app (WhatsApp, phone) to avoid documentation
- Performer asks for cash payment before completing the work
- Performer brings additional unannounced people
- Performer takes photos of your home unrelated to the task
- Performer returns to your home without a booking

If any of these happen, report immediately. WeDo takes safety reports seriously — every report is investigated within 24 hours, and performers who violate safety standards face permanent bans.
